Fuel Tank Size Estimator

Fuel gauges are not perfectly linear, and it's hard to fill a tank to exactly 100%. For best accuracy, fill from completely empty to completely full (until the pump clicks off twice).

Check your owner's manual, the fuel door sticker, your car's spec sheet on the manufacturer website, or look up your year/make/model on fueleconomy.gov.

Tank size itself doesn't directly affect resale value, but vehicles with larger tanks (indicating longer range) are preferred by buyers who do long-distance driving regularly.
